Forza Motorsport 3 is real racer but what really pushes this game is it accessibility, making a hardcore simulation racing title playable by most of casual fans. If offers a pretty easy career mode but filled with enormous challenge. Set the tuning as you desire or you can auto-tune your car, all depends on you and speaking of depending on you, you can start either from simple point-and-go system or from most physics-driven sim.

For a Motorsport 3 offers more than 400 vehicles and the funny thing is all of them are unlocked although you have to earn enough credits to purchase them still you don’t have to do a hectic job of unlocking vehicles. Forza 3 sort of goes antithesis to racing game conventions, normally you start off with a carped slow paced car and then work your way to upper class but that’s not the case with Forza 3.

And even if you are to drive lower class cars still they are so much fun to play with. After playing Forza 3 endlessly I still sometimes go to class D or E cars for some races. And that is largely because of the enhanced physics of this game.

Gran Turismo 5

It’s been six long years since the last release of Gran Turismo and now the Polyphony are back with a bang. Gran Turismo 5 has hit the markets and you will be dazzled to see just how prudently the cars have been designed. Those six years they spent really speak when you see light refracting across the headlights and glossy sculpted cars which are almost immaculate.

And it is not just from outside, get behind the wheels and you will find the very same effort that has been put on the bodywork, every single detail is there. While Forza Motorsport 3’s is renowned for it’s concerning, Gran Turismo 5 offers marvelous physics and car mechanics. That is where the real strength of GT 5 is manifested.

As you brake you could feel the screen juddering as the weight of the car sways towards the front wheels and you could see the tires skimming along the tarmac. While the game offers such realisms there are few foibles too and among them car damage is the one. Hitting head on into the will hardly damage your car. But now they have given a patch to download which will enable the damage, but hey why didn’t they put it earlier?

Another thing that really bugs you is the twisted menus, on the track the game looks splendid but as soon as you enter the menus, it spoils everything. So all in all, the game is a good real driving simulator but with few shortcomings.

NASCAR 08

NASCAR games were outstanding in the old consoles, like on PlayStation 2 and Xbox but in the new generation consoles, it has lost its value and power. The gameplay is very poor, dull visuals and graphics, laggy online play and loss of core features like Total Team Control, NASCAR 08 is not a one of the prettiest car games to have on your next generation consoles.

The gameplay and handling of the cars are very unrealistic, and it’s very hard to control the car with the analog stick, but if you compare other games like Gran Turismo, Forza MotorSport they also have the same control system to control the ride from the analog stick. But you will not find a single problem in controlling the car. The racing tracks are very dull, as there is no life in the graphic and visuals effects.

The main mode in the game is the Chase Mode, first you have to complete number of challenges and earn reputation to get contracts from the companies, and then you start racing under said contract for a team. The main goal of the game is to run your own team, which is kind-a-like interesting, but as you progress through different challenges, you will notice many of the challenges are same but with higher difficulty lever, which is very boring.

Need for Speed World

I rarely do reviews for motocross games and online racing game, but this game is exceptional, the game comes from the maker of Need for Speed series, like EA. The good thing about the game is its totally free to play online until you reached at the level 10, at that time you have to buy a $20 starter pack, if you want to make further progress in your game.

NFSW is an online racing game; the game can support a huge amount of multiplayer in an open world. The game is totally free-rom, you will come to see many online gamers in the game while you are wondering around in the Need for Speed world. Very cool aspect of the game is you can interact with other racers in the game, challenge then, compare you stats with them at any time you want.

Now let’s talk about the gameplay of the Need for Speed World, the gameplay is pretty much the same as in the Need For Speed Most Wanted game but there are some additions in the detail and handling of the cars, and the developers have also added some new models of the cars. The game is divided into the following modes; the first is the Exploration, where you can explore the game world, teleport from one place to another. The second is the Sprints and Circuits mode. Both the modes are race types. Circuits consist of laps and Sprints are race from point A to point B.

Juiced

Juiced was released at the time when there was great hype in car games, and many racing games were released at that time, like Forza Motorspot, Burnout 3: Takedown, Gran Turismo 4, Need for Speed Underground 2 and Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition. All these games were excellent, and on the other hand Juiced was like a little brother to them, which is trying to be very cool, but unable to get maximum attention from the racing fans.

Juiced tried many different things in the game, the developer of the game tried to put some street flavor in the game. The game starts in a very simple way; you have to choose your name and group and also you mobile. After this simple process you have to go for the quick race against the leader of the Urban Maulerz. If you win the race you have a direct cash of $47,000 in your pocket. All you have to do get a car form the garage and start your racing career.

The graphic of the game are good, but the main problem in the game is the physics of car, which is very annoying and difficult for the new gamers to control the car easily. The career mode is also very dull and dry, one of the biggest problem I have faced in the game is, when you put a bet against your rival the game starts auto save, and if you losses the race there is no way you can take your cash back, sometimes pinkslips also. The only solution of this problem is you have to put the autosave turn off.

Burnout Revenge

If you enjoyed the 50 car pileups in the precursor, brace yourselves. Criterion has torn this mode apart and completely reinvented it. Rather than launching your car at a score multiplayer icon, your crashing skills are reflected in the majority of your score. You will get a subtle point boost by taking out the bonus target car, but again playing off of the skills, you will have to figure out how to include it in your routine. Your reflexes will also be put to the test in this car game, in a frantic button mashing sequences that increases the destructive quality of your Crashbreaker.

Once again, all of the tracks in the game are based on three locations (this time being Detroit, Rome and Tokyo), and the perfect fit for the event at hand. The courses are grittier in design and are far less forgiving. Whenever, you look, it seems like there’s a small concrete wall. You really have to focus on staying away from the barriers in this installment. The opponent AI is also bit surprising, they know how to rip your car to shreds, thus bringing about the “Revenge” aspect of the title. If a rival takes you out, the game highlights them, allowing you glorious payback.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles

Good thing RockStar’s Midnight Club has been evolving leaps and bounds since it launched on the PS2, then, as Los Angeles marks the kind of significant steps forward Need For Speed could really benefited from. One of the most important, yet perhaps least obvious is LA’s 24 hour day and night cycle. Sure, the game is called Midnight Club and you can play at that time if you want, but you can also play entirely as the hours unfold around you. Speed up, of course. Where the past few Need For Speed games arbitrarily dictated time, underground 2 being night: Most wanted day, and Carbon, night again, Los Angeles is far less restricted.

Something that further supports that is the lack of menus. You can play the whole thing from start to finish without ever using one, and the way that works is rather intuitive. When you see someone you want to race, approach them and flash your headlights twice you will then get the chance to race them through the busy LA streets to the start line, before beginning the race properly. You are absolutely free to skip this if you want to and just cut to the main race. However, don’t let that fool you into thinking there aren’t any menus. There are, but they are entirely minimal.

Sega Rally Revo

Sega brought rally racing to arcades in 1995 with the simply titled Sega rally. One of the best title known for arcade racing. Followed by Sega Rally 2 in 1998, the series won fens with its lap based racing against multiple competitors, excellent track designs, and the drift heavy handling.

Sega Rally Revo represents the long awaited third installment in the series, and it showcases most of the traits that made it so great. It’s fast, its colorful and easy to get into. Its track are made up, which is fine, but lack less personality than say, MotorStorm, for instance. The control feels good, but the main next gen draw for Sega Rally Revo its realistically deforming tracks surfaces, are merely eye candy unless you play with a force feedback steering wheel. With the standard Sixaxis.

You feel like you are only getting 50 to 60% of the Intended experience. One of the most important things of the game is graphics which are very stunning, and filled with excellent colors. But this time the developers have come up with a different approach, more like that of Rockstar’s. The game has been extended with the slight touch of Midnight Club. The game revolves around fictitious world with the place called Bayview, an area perfect for the speedsters to burn their tyres. The areas are wide open for you to frolic around.

The city is divided into five parts that are Coal Harbor, City Core, Beacon Hill, Jackson Heights and the Airport and each one has its own distinct feature which boosts the game’s gameplay. For instance, for drifting the Beacon Hill does the job and for some speed and thrill the City Core provides the job and suits best to circuit and drag racing.

But the game is not about racing alone; racing is part of whole of whole scenario you need to build your reputation in the streets as well. Over the game really hits the spot. As far as the visuals are concerned they have been augmented from the previous Need for Speed and the sound effects are sure to be pleasing and the customizations are totally insane.

Need for Speed Underground

Another addition in the Need for Speed franchise that is Need for Speed Underground, the game, with little tweaks, has been made little different from its predecessors. The game feels as you are playing the Fast and the Furious movie. Some of the changes include exclusion of police chase and the world of exotic cars. But a lot new features have been inserted to the game and on the top of these features include massive scale customization, robust customization mode.

So yeah the game is all about super fast cars, mesmerizing visuals, hot girls and some of the craziest customizations you have ever come across with. The game has been fully evolved with the introduction of companies like AEM, Jackson Racing, Enkei, StreetGlow and HKS which provides custom upgrades for your car, turning your everyday car into street monster. The game borrows heavily from custom kit and import car scene.

EA and Black Box has come up with a revolutionary step, teaming up with some of the biggest product lines and car manufacturers. And the result was ultimate customization, well not ultimate but it is revolutionary. Although the number of vehicle is less but with customization the variety of these vehicle could be made enormous. The single player mode is closely related with unlocking of new parts both of performance and body parts.

Mafia 2

The original Mafia: City Of Lost Heaven may have either passed you by on the PS2 (because it was an absolute disaster of a port), or it would have stunned you with the Pc original. Boasting a gritty plot of a taxi driver gone Mafia Hitman, it was a brilliant take on the sandbox genre, even if the Thirties cars never matched the speed of or impact of those in the GTA series. In many ways, it was a much deeper experience than the GTA III. The third person shooting was far above the distressing auto-aim pissery of the PS2 GTA games, while the graphics were far better than anything that the home consoles could offer at that time.

Mafia 2 looks to do the same, and hopefully this PS3 sequel will hit a litter harder than the first one. Set in the late Forties, Mafia 2 is being built with consoles in mind, with an all new storyline and possibly a new location to boot. To many, this will look like sub GTA free roaming, but this opinion is likely to be suppressed as we find out more in the coming months. Based on the first trailer, the cut scenes in Mafia 2 are also looking very sharp, with some great tricks and details on the facial animation adding a Heavenly Sword level of cinematic polish to the narrative. We hope the cars aren’t as pompously annoying in the sequel; capture an era, by all means, but if we have to drive another one of those ancient taxis ever again, we will put a hit out on ourselves.

Mashed

Picture the scene; you have finished your exams, and it’s a glorious summer’s day, you could go outside. Certainly, but you could also gather a friend or two and relax with a good PS2 game. You pick up Mashed, open a window, start chatting and laughing, before to forgetting all about your troubles in its Micro Machines-imitating simplicity. Everything is perfect. On the other hand, however, you could be in outer Siberia, freezing your arse off with nothing to do. Chombomkov, your bearded comrade, passes you Mashed with a smile; why not give it a go? Before you know it, you have forgotten the freezing temperature as you compete with a hairy Russian; sending a homing missile his way before racing him out of the track.

Do you see what we’re getting at, here? Mashed is a great multiplayer game regardless of where you are, or what you are doing. If you are in prison, right now, convicted of manslaughter, then you have probably found a new way of life with Mashed. Good on you, sir! Mashed embodies the magic of those Mega Drive Micro Machines classics, but it modernizes them without any arrogance or pretence. There’s speed, but there’s no subtlety, Mashed is accessible to everyone because the level design is just so easy to memories. In spite of the annoying load times and unoriginal concept, Mashed is a wonderful piece of mindless gaming.

Split Second

Split Second brings back found memories of the golden era of Burnout. It shouldn’t thought of as a clone. It’s much like Burnout, and countless other arcade racers, but its USP really is an original and ingenious idea. This is racer with weapons, but it’s not the vehicles that are armed, it’s the track.

The story, if you can call it that, goes that you play as a contestant on TV show, which takes place on a collection of sets in an area the size of the a small city. The sets have been rigged with various (mostly explosive) devices, and each car has a button that can activate the nearest device once the driver’s got enough styling from drifts, near misses, air time and so on. Some of these Power Plays simply open up temporary shortcuts, others causes shockwaves and obstructions, which the really big ones completely rearrange the layout of the course in spectacular fashion.

The advantage of arming the environment rather than the vehicles is that the effects can be so much bigger and so much more varied than your usual guns, missiles, banana skins and such. Plus it heightens that all important risk/reward factor, as you can only activate a Power Play that is in front of you, so there’s always a chance that you might get caught up in the carnage yourself.

Street Trace: NYC

When a fully realized three dimensional game appears on a download service, most people’s natural reaction, fairly or otherwise, is to assume that it will pale in comparison to the bigger. The assumption can be prove unjustified, as was the case with Warhawk, but this instance it’s hard to imagine, Street Trace NYC making any kind of impact outside Live Arcade.

Although the idea behind Street Trace arena and track based deathmathces with hoverboards, is sound in theory, the execution is somewhat lacking. Seemingly inspired by the lackluster Kirby Air Ride, the boarders in Street Trace constantly move forward and can only negotiate tight corners by breaking to a stop, swiveling around and zooming off again. In race mode this leads to constant collisions with dead ends or infuriating leaps into bottomless pits. When it comes to arena deathmatches, things fare little better as players find themselves endlessly circling each other battling with the aiming reticule, which annoyingly, cannot be inverted.

And if you thought those problems weren’t enough, there’s also the fact that the hoverboards themselves are completely unconvincing, with no bounce or weight to them at all. Even, those who are willing to outlook such issues will ultimately find that street Trace boils down to a mostly random arena shooter where victory is assured through lucky button mashing rather than any kind of skill.

MidNight Club 3: Dub Edition

Mid Night Club is back with a new entry in the franchise. This time the game revolves around the streets of San Diego. Unlike the previous version, the MidNight Club 2 which had unlicensed cars, weird characters and with limited customizations, the game has been rectified with some logical improvements. There are about fifty licensed exotic, tuner and muscle cars, trucks, choppers, heavy bikes etc. And the customization has been improved to a great degree making the game more appealing. There is some new stuff in the game as well other the cars and customization, the game packed up with an online capability while there are several reasons to explore the new area, different type of car has its own unique power, innovate and effective

When compared with the MC 2, the MC 3 is far more profound, intense, with wider perspective and indeed delineates the true culture and presentation. As far as the maps and the onscreen action is concerned, the MC 3 has entirely unique maps from the MC 2, with wider roads and more intense onscreen action. The game if not the fastest or the prettiest then certainly is the most stylish a profound and long lasting.

Need For Speed Shift

There has been many ups and downs in the Need for Speed franchise for the last few years, after the success of Need for Speer Mostwanted and Need for Speed Carbon, the franchise lost its charm. For the new twist the game moved on to official tracks which didn’t appeal well, the Need for Speed Prostreet. So to gain the revival of the game something had to be done. EA decided to give the key to Slightly Mad Studios; very those who are behind the PC racing game GTR and they came up with Need for Speed Shift. So would it be enough to revive the lost title?

Indeed, it did pay off. The game has been dexterously put together. By putting together I mean what should be made real and what shouldn’t be. The Slightly Mad provides with a nice racing experience which is real enough regarding the presentation and the controls are arcadey enough for the novice players to coop up with the game.

Unlike the previous titles, there is zero story base, means pure official racing game. The only thing you will find closest to a tale is the voiceover that tells you in the beginning of the game that you have to prove yourself by driving around the Brands Hatch in BMW M3. So basically the game is all about the tracks and stuff like that, which is good.

Project Gotham Racing 4

As Xbox 360 approaches its third generation of software, its true worth as a console will begin to show. With the launch software, consumers looked for little more than beautiful visuals, and the machine delivered. Last Christmas, the public needed a triple A game and Microsoft gave then Gear OF War. Year after that, we need more still. Pretty visuals didn’t count for too much in late 2007, every game looks amazing. Microsoft needs depth and originality; they need something we haven’t seen before.

With PGR4, Bizarre Creations has struggled to cope with this demand. With every iteration of its seller driving series there has been a revolution. PGR2 introduced online driving for the first time. PGR3 gave us Gotham TV and a stunning visual overhaul. But with the fourth game, the obvious avenues have already been explored. So, as if to compensate, Bizarre has created an enormous deep driving experience, added motorbikes, dynamic weather and a huge career mode, and asked the world to love it.

If you are spent time with any of PGR4’s forebears, you will instantly be comfortable in its driving seat. Bizarre’s game has always asked ‘what would it be like to actually own these unattainable cars? but has never felt the need to restrict players’ fun with overly complicated handling or pushing vehicles damage.

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue

It’s been a long time coming. Since PlayStation 3 was announced, thoughts of Gran Turismo 5 have never been far from mind. After all, Polyphony Digital’s superior driving simulation can take credit for much of PSone’s mainstream success, and its continued journey towards excellence has been as beneficial to gamers as it has to Sony itself. Given the less than stellar performance of the most powerful next generation console so far, PlayStation 3 needs Gran Turismo 5, and it needs it soon.

So, in classic ‘carrot and stick’ style, Sony and Polyphony Digital have assembles another prelude to their most prized asset. However, unlike the upsettingly limited Gran Turismo HD, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue is a considerably chunkier package 40 cars, a selection of beautifully detailed courses and, perhaps most importantly, full online support for up to 16 players. This delicious precursor will also be available on PlayStation Network, further bolstering Sony’s online service as a valid marketplace for serious games, but much it will retail for is still under wraps.

New features aside though, the secret to the Gran Turismo franchise’s success is simple: handling. No other racing game (save for perhaps the mighty Forza Motorsport- itself‘homage’ to Gran Turismo) offers the player such tangible feedback. Every tune-up, every little tweak, and every tiny nudge of the wheel: they all have noticeable consequences.

Need for Speed Carbon

After the hit of Need for Speed Underground in 2004 which outsold every other game, the developers launched another squeal of the series on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 named as ‘Need for Speed Most Wanted’ which was also a major hit, with new features and customizations and new improved vicious police on the move.

This year another title has been added to the franchise called Need for Speed Carbon. The game does not differ much from the previous titles but with some new features and improved customizations, it is worth buying. The game involves Carbon Canyon where racers compete to gain the territory. Graphics has been augmented with the awesome Autosculpt customizations. Game is based on strong story board and creates more suspense as it progresses. Profound but not radical.

Need for Speed like most of the Need for Speeds offer arcade gaming. As far as career mode is concerned the game starts off with the selection of any one of the three different categories that include exotics (speed based), tuners (handling based) and Muscles being new addition are based on the acceleration. The gangs vie over the city which has split into four territories. The new features that are Carbon’s innate are a crew, drifting, autosculpt and additional car classes. Online gaming can comprise over 8 players only on PS3, PC and Xbox 360, online feature is lacked in PS2, Xbox and GameCube.

Need For Speed Most Wanted

Need for Speed Most Wanted has once again revived the good old days of cops chasing. The game has been well featured with some modifications. As usual you have to race around the streets and earning yourself some street status. What make it succulent are the hot looking fast cars, teasing cops and well developed graphics.

The game is indeed a racing game but it has been made fascinating by coherent story and presentation. The story is something that grabs ones attention. You are to deal with several blacklists that are up to 15 in number. In the beginning you will race with Razor, the main what you can say villain of the story. And you will lose because of some oil problem and you will eventually lose your car via pinkslip. The game is basically about seeking revenge and all that.

Now you are require to earn through 15 blacklists up to blacklist number 1 that is Razor, the bad ass of the game. Each blacklist has his own theme which is quite cool. And as you move on to next blacklist a short biography is manifested with graffiti styled logos and writings and FMV characters. To put it simply, the game is worth playing and with the innovative blacklist criteria, it has become cooler and one thing more you also have to complete bounties for each blacklist before challenging them for title.

Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights

When you first fire up your Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights it looks like a whole new game with great graphic and exciting gameply. The cars often feel on the verge of gong out of control, and handled very differently in circuit races than they do in the drift challenges, the graphics are good as compared to its predecessors, and the online features, save for the ability for spectators to bet on particular races, are nothing special.

DiRT 2

In Dirt, Codemasters has taken everything that made their flagship Colin McRae Rally franchise so great, namely intense realism, superb handling, and uncanny attentation to detail and applied racing disciplines: CORR, rally, rally raid, rally cross, cross over and hill climb. The end result is a whole lot of great racing game experience which you have never seen.
Behind the wheel, each type of racing has its own challenges and rewards. Each without vibration feed back, you get a true feel for the road and graphics, something that Sega Rally Revo, has to offer for the off road racing fans. Dirt also ups the ante on its competitors with absolutely great amount of damage modeling and car destructibility.
It clips along smoothly and looks every bit next-gen, nearing photorealism at times. Its biggest flaw is a seriously weak online style (rally and hill climb only, and you are challenging against other races you can’t see for the best time). Away from that, it is wholesome dirt racing amazement that solemn sim enthusiasts will enjoy in and extra relaxed players will want to thrust them selves to become more expert at.

GRID

There’s a Challenge race that occurs periodically in GRID where you can pick up big bucks and reputation points by defeating your fiercest rival. One race for all the marbles, if you will. Thanks to a confluence of timing and subject matter its very similar to the showdown that now comforts the GRID and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue games. The smart money might be on the polished veteran – “The Franchise” – but never underestimate a hungry young rookie as all bets are off when the green flag drops.
First and foremost, any racing game facing off against GT5 Prologue has to contend with its awe-inspiring 1080p 60fps graphic. While GRID can’t equal the photorealism of Prologue’s visuals, it compensates quite nicely at half the frame rate and with a cinematic style that lets you “feel” the race instead of just viewing it. Dramatic camera angles, atmospheric lightning, and environmental effects all combine to imbue GRID with a gritty, urban ambiance that befits its intense and aggressive gameplay. There’s still plenty of “wow factor” in GRID’s eye candy, it’s just a different brand of sweetness than Gran Turismo’s.
More importantly, any technical performance “shortcoming” – be it perceived or real – never inhibits the actual racing experience. Where GRID ups the visual ante is in the area of damage deformation. GRID goes beyond simply exhibiting damage on car models; crash sequences are cinematic feasts as cars can flip and become airborne while scattering all manner of vehicle and environmental debris, this is one game where the reply mode is certain to get a work out.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage

Choosing to ignore the current trend of street racing and huge gaping cities doused in neon lights, Finnish developer Bugbear opted instead to focus on the down and dirty world of stock car racing. Strapping yourself behind the wheel of a monstrous muscle car and tearing through construction sites, dirt tracks, and small towns while wreaking havoc is the aim of the game. The twist of course is that if you find yourself careening headlong into an obstacle such as a crane, construction truck or even a wall then your driver is flung through the windshield at warp speed, skidding along the girt and headfirst into a concrete wall or under the wheel of another car.
Sadistic pleasure of course, but isn’t that what everyone needs once in a while in between all the fluffy little creatures spouting an indecipherable language while on a quest to save the flower princess…or something along those lines? In fact, it wouldn’t surprise us in the slightest if FlatOut’s gimmick becomes the basis for many a drinking game some years down the line.
Governing this world of pain in an advanced physics engine implemented by the developer which affects every chunk of metal on your car and the various obstacles littered throughout each course. For example, one particular race played out on a huge construction site houses a number of cranes lying by the wayside. If you manage to ram hard enough into a cram arm you can send it whipping around with the force of a wrecking ball, smashing it into either your own car or whoever’s hot on your tail.

NASCAR 2009

In the track, there is a time and a place for teamwork. Maybe you will never get the chance to hook up with a teammate and draft your way to be front. Or more often than not, you will spend the race watching after your own butt. As such, teamwork on the track may not be a big factor in a race. This puts the focus of this year’s NASCAR game in an awkward position of being occasionally useful.

I am glad this teamwork features aren’t too powerful, but because this game doesn’t explore the depth and importance of teams on a significant scale, it only partially connects players to the critical human factor of teams and the sport. For instance, your R&D program is shallow, meaning that sharing resources is often not very pertinent. In general, the simplicity of the off track team dynamics makes the career mode little different than last year’s. However, while racing the new team controls do change the way you drive, allowing you to seize opportunities on a chessboard that’s moving at dangerous speeds.

Despite the usual bonehead CPU Al, the thought-process for your teammates in deciding to help you or not is usually good. If only they were less one dimensional, then this franchise could really grow and capitalize on the sport’s captivating personalities. EA has touched on most of the elements of NASCAR. Now it needs to draw them all together and blow the whole thing out.

Driver: Parallel Lines

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; circa 1978, Parallel Lines follows the blossoming career of a young wheelman known as The Kid (or T.K) as he takes jobs for disreputable lowlifes. Then again, T.K, himself has pretty flimsy moral fiber since players are no longer restricted to playing the charade of an undercover cop penetrating the shady world of downshifting. While players will still have plenty of chances to get out of the car and wreak havoc with various weapons, cursing around a detail, load free city will be the big draw for fans of the franchise.

One of the ways Reflections is adding realism to its digital Big Apple is through the use of incidents – short scripted events that make the ambient life in the city seem more natural. For instance, you might be barreling down the street and see police cruisers parked on the corner, but they are not there for you; the fuzz may actually be trying to talk a jumper down from a building. With dozens of these situations scattered throughout the experience, the game can offer something new each time around the block.

While the multiplayer component is a big step for Driver, the question is whether it will be enough in a genre that seems to be moving forward and pushing the envelop. Driver is in a tough spot; Parallel Lines’ new features don’t appear to be particularly ambitious, and it still needs to content with the debacle that was Driv3r. Still, if Reflection can bring the city to life through incidents, dense traffic, and integrate multiplayer, then the game has the potential to find an audience, get back in the driver’ seat, and take the series a few more miles down the road.

WRC 2010

It’s that time of year again when we get all the updates of last year’s games. This used to be exclusive to sports games like FIFA and Madden but now rally games have gotten in on the act with shiny new editions every year. The trouble with this is that more often than not very little changes from year to year. This was the case with Colin McRae and while it had some improvements over last year’s effort, it wasn’t enough to really set the two games apart.

WRC 10 also makes a return this year with some enhancements, most importantly the online play. Obviously Colin had online compatibility this year too, although it should be noted that it only supports a maximum of eight players while WRC can handle up to 16. One benefit WRC has over its rival is the official license, which gives it a greater air of realism despite the more arcade like feel to the actual driving.

This though, means that it’s much more forgiving when it comes to smashing the crap out of your chosen vehicle, with even the most knackered of cars being able to limp across the finish line. This arcade-esque experience certainly paves the way for more thrills and spills as you go hurtling down the straights at crazy speeds. The impressive draw distance only adds to the excitement, as the scenery is unveiled far ahead.

Need For Speed: Undercover

I’m all for a sense of style. A slick look can grant a ho-hum game an eye-catching sheen. But with videogame-and any sort of software, really – style absolutely must take a back seat to functionality. Which brings us to Need for Speed: Undercover. Slickly designed and frankly gorgeous in sports, Undercover positively oozes style, from its beautiful car models and nifty speed effects to its rich lightning and oversaturated colors. It even has a sexy pause menu. Really!

There’s just one problem; all this style and graphical richness hits the game’s performance. Scenes with a lot of action can suffer from slowdown. You encounter occasional stutter even racing solo down a fairly low-key straightaway. In a game centered around shooting super-powered sports cars through dense city streets, those little hiccups do serious damage – when you’re trying to dodge through heavy traffic, even a tiny pause can completely blow your sense of timing.

I wish that weren’t the case, because aside from performance, Undercover is a solid racer. The enormous city offers loads of different driving environments, with a variety of race events easily accessible through the GPS map (Burnout Paradise lesson learned: no need to manually drive to each one). The experience based progression system adds a nice sense of accomplishment, and you even get points and cash just for driving around between events.

Some interesting events types offer diversion from the standard street racing. Highway battles, for example, require you to dodge traffic, as you try to pull ahead of an opponent by a certain distance; while outrun events throw away the route markers, asking you only to stay in the lead, on whatever route you choose, for a certain period of time. Unfortunately, these events aren’t accessible in the slick, well-integrated online mode.

Online does feature the objective-based game Cops ‘n’ Robbers, where a team of police from ferrying cash from one location to another. But aside from that, it’d strictly pint-to-point and circuit races. No one’s going to deny that Undercover is one fine looking creature. And it certainly offers enough depth and variety to keep racing fans competent game – but persistent performance issues prevent it from being anything more than that.

FunZola is Fun

I couldn't seem to find a great live gaming arenatill I meet FunZola fun games, a web site which provides a collection of online games. The game-play is to try guessing the letter of the alphabets that are in the hidden word. on every players turn you try to guess one letter and two things can happen. If the letter exists in the word or phrase - it's imparted to the word, and if it's not right - your hung man is going another footstep towards it's destruction.
Enjoying hangman on the web is easy for various reasons. First of all you don't have to set up anything, you only need a browser. The 2nd reason is that playing word puzzles requires that you prepare each game which includes making up words on specific subject, and wiping off several letters so that the players can enjoy playing the puzzle.
The most common used letters in english for example are the four vowels.
Almost forgot, you have to try hangaroo which is a different version of hangman, trust me you'll love it.

Whats the best Bike Games?

The biking games available on bike games are merely the greatest.
